The Web Hosting order form handles charge card processing
over a secure server in real time, and creates user accounts based on
successful credit card sales.
The CD Shop includes an interface with LMNet's distributor
to allow for product fulfillment and shipping reports to affect credit
card charges. The LMNet backend database uses Microsoft Access, which
allows LMNet to operate with existing software and maintain their server
on our network while they manage the site from their own offices over a
28.8 dialup connection. The LMNet web site also includes many of the
features we are developing for our future "canned shopping cart"
solutions, including an administrator's screen where orders can be viewed
and retrieved for import into an existing database, as well as shipping
and handling calculations based on quantity or weight and country or
zones.
